Assigning Pass, Fail, and No Show to a Registration

You can revise the status of a component after you complete the initial registration. For example, a student can enroll in an exam, but until the student actually takes the exam and passes or fails, you cannot record the status information. In addition, if the student does not show up to take the exam, you cannot record the no-show status until after the exam occurs.

The Pass, Fail, and No Show buttons at the bottom of the Register a student by component window allow you to revise the status of a component after the original registration is completed.

After you click Pass for a component, Passed is shown on the window. This indicates that the student has met all of the requirements for this component.

Note: Click the Pass, Fail, or No Show buttons only for components that do not have the Skip Enrollment option enabled.

To assign a pass, fail, or no show status to a registration record

1.  Enter a component registration on the Register a student by component window. See To register for a component using Register a student by component).

Note: Be sure that you did not enable the Skip Enrollment option for this component.

2.  Select the line item and click Pass.

3.  Complete edits to the component registration. For example, enter a Grade.

4.  Click Save to update the record. The status of the line item changes to Passed.
